Flea Market Find
I found this at my local flea market. They were asking $40. I didn't pick it up because I don't have room. Should I make room? Anyone willing to convince my husband that we need this piece?:D

Dax Short and Neat (blue tin) is my husbands absolute favourite for slicking back hair. We never found it here so my husband had my parents send over a dozen cans from England before they moved back to Canada. I hope you like it!
Foofoogal - I agree! I'm looking forward to having more than I know what to do with. It's easy to pick out fabric for a project. But it's the trims, buttons, zippers and embellishments that I have the most fun choosing.
LD - Those are super cool. Any idea what to do with them?
Jennifer, I love the neckline on your dress. It's beautiful and you wear it very well.
Cinnamon Cinders - Your dress is lovely. What pattern did you use?
Laura Chase - That's gorgeous! I can't say I've seen anything like it.
Here is some fabric I picked up at an estate sale. I would have taken more home but I had limited funds.

Thank you Bopeep!
palespider - I love the software. It was pricey but worth every penny. The customer service and support is outstanding. There is a lot of learning and practice involved. To make full use of the program you have to familiarize yourself with all of the applications and...

Thanks Lauren. I ended up just using my pinking shears. I thought I was going to be able to apply my hong kong finish after the zipper. Unfortunately after hand picking the zipper (center back lapped) I didn't have enough free allowance to make it possible. I should have applied the finish...
I would like to bind my seams in my next project, hong kong style preferably. I've made bias tape in a blue satin (?) and I'm not really happy with it. Can I use ribbon? The kind that comes on big rolls for crafts and gift wrapping. I've thought of using the bias tape sold at my local store...
Baby butterfly - After I had my daughter I lost a lot of weight too (not in a good way) and then I had really bad acne and was depressed. Like you, I just felt ugly. It sounds to me like you should start with what's underneath. Pamper yourself, and have a spa day. Give yourself a manicure...
