I think that most men that served in WWII wore a heavy helmet for so long... they came home not wanting anything weighing their heads down. And... at that point the fedora had become representative of the old men in suits and ties that send the young men off to die. Just my opine. :cool: -

I'll third that. I guess that's what I've been doing all along w/ this thread. I'm happier than that proverbial pig in ... well you know. I couldn't be happier w/ this hat. It's my dream hat. And the 3 1/4" brim does my fat face proud, even w/ all my hair tied back. And the wind trolley...
