Still can't get myself to like the look of a tie with a leather jacket. Else the LHB is a true beauty and fits you very well, as are the boots. I'd too like to know who made them?
here is a slightly better version of that photo (focus):
that leather is of course not brown FQHH but seal "jerky" A-2 mid-weight horsehide and the green is a stronger contrast. My brown FQHH Highwayman has matching brown stitching and that's fine too.
Hi folks,
thanks for the friendly comments everyone!
@Cooperson: 11 weeks
@JanSolo: again, I would have missed out on half the goodies, if it weren't for your advice! I have to admit the sleeves are very tight on the wrists, but I'll do my best to stretch them... And the jacket was made by...
Hi,
after seeing JanSolo's superb Cheyenne I could not resist. I considered the Mariner, but finally decided for the Cheyenne.
Jan helped me a lot with his suggestions, thank you very much!!
Thanks also go to southerwayfare and HoosierDaddy. Your advice is truly invaluable gentlemen!
I would...
forget about the japanese pricing. Prices in the US are not what this importer asks. I was just linking to this site because they have pictures galore, not to encourage ordering through them.
I have been searching for a complete list of options for customizing White's Boots and finally came accross this website:
http://www.vintageblue.co.jp/list.php?br=wb&ct=smokejumper
They have two lists of options hidden in there:
Smoke Jumpers leathers, soles, heels, hardware, lining and...
I have a number of shoes from Schuh Bertl:
The Monaco (obviously)
Haferlschuhe
Sanders scotch grain NOS shoes (metal plates removed)
and a pair of Bertls 2003 boots.
The shoes are the among the best I have and the shop is a beauty. You should really stop by there, if you happen to be in...
(stellvertretend: alles bestens verständlich. Nur "interplay" fand ich etwas ungewöhnlich :-)
I think the jacket looks as good as it gets with an A-2 on you.
As various others have pointed out in earlier threads, a lot of those jackets are worn by people today, that don't quite have the...
very nice one and great fit too! GA (the shop) has an old black 42 Teamster hanging in the back, which I really liked.
However, I am not a fan of the busy back in the HB and similar and decided to go with another style with Aero #3 to arrive in November.
On my HWYman one inner pocket shows a bit on the outside and the "frame" of the chest pocket shows as well. On my cafe racer neither the inner nor the outer pockets' frame make a print or dent visible from the outside.
I personally don't mind it, but just to let you know this can happen with...
hi,
given it's a teamster and that you are from Bavaria, I guess you got it at Gasoline Alley? Can you post a few pics of your new aquisition?
I have been considering this model too and there aren't too many pictures around.
Thanks!
I agree that it is not a reason to feel guilt, but it is a chance to take responsibility and prevent history from repeating itself in that respect, in whatever form (it doesn't make it easy for you, by delivering the exact copy to alarm everybody)
I think within the context of this forum...
I believe the main difference is that the travellers have a lower and 90 degrees heel, which will make them more versatile style-wise and also another bit lighter. Regarding the upper construction they seem to be rather similar.
btw.I would recommend getting the rolled top, but I feel the...
I would like to add something from my vantage point of a German born in the sixties, that any clothing that would link myself with Nazi Germany would be an absolute no-go for me. Not even as a hoax, much less as a fashion item.
Still, I am absolutely fine with Hawk_Eye or JohnnyJohnny...
As promised my white's.
Brown Packers 10", Farmer/Rancher Red Dog double sole 6" and brown 6" Smoke Jumpers.
The smoke jumpers weigh in at 1.4 kg per shoe, or 2.8 kg (6.17 lbs) per pair.
