I was glancing through a magazine the other day when I came across a style reportage from Sevilla. It had a small picture showing a couple of fedora-type hats from the Sombreria Maquedano.
I looked for them on the net but all I could find was this address...
Thanks Flitcraft!
Well, I haven't got the jacket yet but the seller claim the leather is a bit stiff so I figured it's best to be prepared. More on this when it arrives.

Thanks Feraud!
Pecard's huh? I've heard about this product but I can't find it here in Sweden. I guess I need to go web shopping.
Let's say I want to use Pecards - Do I go for the "Antique" line or the "Classic" line? How much do I need? *scratching his head*

According to the seller it is a German motorcycle jacket from the 40s. It sure looks the part.
It has the name "Heinr. Schmidt" and "TRAYSA" on the tag.
The leather is said to be a bit stiff but I hope I can get some ideas from the good people here on FL to help me treat the jacket back...
Ja, Boden har man ju som man vissa pl?•gsamma minnen av... men det ska vi inte g?• in p?• h?§r. :)
Here in Ume?• I have a milliner (modist) that can help me with sewing to some degree, but she's getting old and rheumatic in her fingers. Getting a hat cleaned or blocked there is not an option...
Sorry Cookie, the civilized world turned metric a long time ago. Time for the rest of the world to wake up and smell the coffee. :D
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Actually, I have no tape measure with inches on it. But as you know: 1 inch = 2,54 cm
Cheers

A fellow Swede! How nice! :eusa_clap
Hej MrPumpernickel, vart i v?•rt avl?•nga land befinner du dig? (sorry for the local jabber, guys) :)
I'm also a bit frustrated with the fact that even if you can get a hat here in Sweden, there's no way (as far as I know) to get it fixed, blocked...
OK, here's a couple of more photos showing the jacket from the back and the front all buttoned up.
As you can see it looks very much like the one in Baron Kurtz photo (thanks!). Maybe Germany is the place to look for a replica? Sweden took a lot of inspiration from there before WWII...
Hello Scotrace, thanks for the reply!
Yes, the jacket looks OK on me but unfortunatley it's a bit to narrow in the armpits. It's fine as long as I don't try to move in it. :)
All I know about this jacket model is that it was probably popular among the brewery guys in the 1930's and 40's...
Today the jacket arrived but alas, it was a tad too small for me. Hopefully the wife can use it since I love the style.
By the lack of reponse to this thread I suppose this style of leather jacket never cought on outside the Swedish/Scandinavian borders. Too bad, because I'd really like to...
Hello everybody! My first post in this part of the FL. (I have only spent some time in the "Hats" section so far) Reason is that I won a leather jacket on a Swedish auction site this evening. Problem is that I know very little about it other then that it looks cool and had my size. :eusa_doh: In...
Hej Thomas! Nice to see another Swedish face. :)
Besdor: My experience is much the same as Speedster - You can buy hats in Scandinavia but it's hard, if not impossible to find someone who clean and bash them. Thank goodness for this forum and its friendly crew to help you out in a pinch...
Ahh... that's a beautiful hat! :eusa_clap Looks a bit like mine so I can see that Borsalino was true to the design over the years. Well, I wasn't suggesting that the colour of the lining was something to decide age of. I was more interested in lining colour in general. When you've seen mostly...
