Won another vintage leather jacket today!

Thanks Jay. Well, I'm not a big fan of shoulderpads in general and wearing this jacket makes me look like I'm about to kick down someones door. :) Yes, the zipper undersides look like this... making them a mix between two styles presented on the excellent page you posted the url to...

Won another vintage leather jacket today!

OK, my fellow leather afficionados... get ready for a bunch of photos because the jacket finally arrived todayl I have treated the jacket, but not with Pecard's. I found out that it would cost me a small fortune to have it shipped from the nearest dealer (Britain). Instead I've used a German...

    Exotic hides

To be honest, I think we have mooses and not elks here in Scandinavia. I always make the same mistake since our word for the animal in question is "?Ñlg" (aelg)... sounding very similar to Elk. /F

    Exotic hides

Interesting thread that I'll make sure to follow closely! :) Here in Sweden it's quite easy to get leather goods made out of Elk and Raindeer hides. A couple of links: http://www.skinnverkstan.se/index.php?page=produkter http://www.masens.com/jakt/jakt.html...

Blasphemy: best wool felt out there?

Here's my Christy Lite Felt. A beater that was my first fedora but still hangs on. It's my "all weather" hat. The hatband is horrible but I've never gotten round to replace it. Flieger

Welcome Black Prince! Wow! That is one cool looking, retro-futuristic coat. Makes me think about films like Dune, Brazil and Delicatessen. :eusa_clap I wish I could help you with your questions but this is the first time I ever heard about Belstaff and Ironhyde. /Flieger

My first Panama: Pachacuti Brisa Fine 08

I wasn't looking to spend a fortune on my first Panama - Not knowing if we would get a decent summer here up north in Scandinavia. So when I came across the Pachacuti line of Panamas from a seller in Sweden I took the smaller spending plunge. One thing that I liked about this company was the...
