HAT ADORNMENTS: ribbons, bows, pins, pugs, leather, etc.
All my hats have the same pin on them, well not the same actual pin but same type on each hat. I don't move the pin from one hat to another lol. Only thing I'll add is pretty obvious but be careful, steam can burn skin easily if you get too close and keep it away from any leather, it was once skin too. Well maybe a couple of things lol. Just a heads up FYI if Akubra lovers didn't have it already but the hard cover coffee table book "Akubra, handcrafted history" that normally sell's for $70-$100 can be bought from Akubra currently for only $20! Well I just need something to go between the top and the base now, damn shame how much was eaten/ruined. Lovely timber, am doing it all the old fashioned way. For a wool Aussie slouch hat New I think RRP is about $150 but you see them often on sale for around a $100-$130 AUD, 2nd hand you can pretty much always find both fur felt and wool so re-sale isn't high and you can buy them used from army surplus stores all over. No it's not made by Akubra, their model is fur felt. It's a Statesman Military model imported by MountCastle Hats. They are an old Australian hat company that also imports and exports hats. I believe those are made in Sri Lanka from Aussie wool. No idea how to date it I'm sorry, they are still...- Silver-Wolf
