Absolutely love this bash! I've been trying to get a good diamond bash in my International (see profile picture). Having a little trouble getting it just right, though.
I for one hope the Australian dollar starts to bounce back soon. Sorry, gents. But with the exchange rate the way it is, Akubras are about the only felt hats I can afford. :)

Heh, I was just about to write about my experience wearing a hat with hoodies on a somewhat regular basis this winter. It feels a little bit odd, for exactly the reason you describe. But I kind of like the way it looks, and having the extra weight around the neck can be useful in chilly weather...

As an Australian I think I'm legally obligated to agree with you that Akubras are very fine hats. I have three and love all of them. That's probably a good thing, as I seem to have trouble finding a fur felt hat that isn't an Akubra...

Billy Bob Thornton's hat, especially, is great. I'd love a lid that looked like that, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting the diamond bash just right.
