Thank you job.
With the Stetson Retro, or Grade 3 straws, I have been told that a bit of wood glue inside the hat at the front of the crease will help the hat not to crack in the future, is that true and recommended?
Sometimes I feel like a fedora, other times I feel like a cowboy hat, and there are days I wear the ball cap, and as with all my lids, I have some great ball caps. Different courses for different horses. I don't believe it is a "Peter Pan" syndrome, just a functional lid that does it's job very...
I get a lot of compliments when wearing my hats and quite a few "I should wear one", and I tell them "why not?" I also hear "I just can't find one that fits or looks good on me", and I advise them to go to a proper hat store and let them walk you through wearing a hat.
I met the Stetson rep at Rodeo Houston yesterday and after telling him the accusation Longfellow made in regards the Chinese government owning Hatco, he rolled his eyes and assured me Pro Equine is NOT a branch of the Chinese government. Longfellow, defend your products, correct your shipping...
Longfellow, why not stick with defending your product without cutting Hatco, not a classy move. http://www.hatlife.com/newsletters/2009/july09_1/art1.htm
I have a Stetson Gus Cowboy hat and it is a great hat I am proud to wear. I'll recommend Stetson every day, or better yet, let my hat do the talking. It is not a custom boutique hat, but for the price it is a proud hat.
The hat in the photo looks more silver belly. A fine Stetson can be yours for $200 or less, and you will enjoy it for a life time. I have a Stetson Gus and wear it often. I believe that 6X is becoming the standard there now, though I have a 4X and it's fine.
I have a Stetson Gus cowboy hat that I wear often, and a Stetson Lonesome Trail crusher, great hats. I also have Ritch Rand's "The Cowboy Hat Book" that I recommend to folks that love hats and fedoras.
I'm going to do just that, a great reason to visit Mike and let Rocky give it a good steam. Besides, my wife has a hat that needs a reshape and stiffening. .
I am still breaking in my hat, a Stetson cowboy hat, and I have a long oval head shape. When it gets too tight on the front and back, I steam and stretch it and it becomes a great fit, but I am wondering when the spaces on the side will not be so loose and open and form more to my head and I...
I just bought a very used Resistol Quicksilver cowboy hat thAt needs cleaning and I want to reshape it from the cattleman crease to a telescope with a flat brim. My question is if this can be done without showing any of the original creases when the clean, block, and restiffening is completed.
I still have a fine wool Deerstalker I bought at Dunn & Co. men's store, a chain of men's stores in Great Britain, back in 1974. Besides deerstalkers, they sold a fine line of wool sports caps. I know they went out of business in the 90's, but who made their hats and caps, and are they available...
