    lexol Sweatband Goop!

A good bump to this thread. I just bought an old Borsalino Colombo, and the sweat is very hard. The leather feels very thin, and very hard and brittle; almost like plastic. I used one layer of Lexol, and it softened up just slightly, barely noticeable at all. Should I keep going?

Nabbed one of the linen khakis... At first I missed the 20% you mentioned, Bill, but I went back and contacted them so they honored it! So I got the jacket for $115 inc. shipping. A really good deal! Thanks for letting us know, Tomasso!

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Nice, D'Guy! Looks like a pretty good weave count on that. Aureliano and Steve, I had an old G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro with that extra thread. I always thought it was an odd (and sloppy) way of attaching the ribbon. Thanks for the info.

    WTB: Vintage cream trousers

I saw some at Brooks Brothers... Wool gab, but nothing special in terms of styling. And their regular price of $150. I'm thinking that I'll just get them through Indy, or buy a pattern from Eva Dress and take it to my tailor. Until then, I'll just have to keep looking. Thanks for the...

    WTB: Vintage cream trousers

After much searching, and deliberation as to whether I really should be spending this money; I have decided to post an ad for a pair of cream/ivory gabardine trousers. Wool, or a heavy linen. I wear about a 33 waist, and a 33 inseam (with room for cuffs). I'd like them to be 50's or earlier...

Making mens clothing: where are the vintage mens clothing patterns?

Eva Dress :bump2: What's the difference between the '34 trouser pattern, and the 40's trouser pattern? I'd be giving the pattern and the fabric to my tailor as I have no experience in sewing. Would the patterns work with striped fabric, and could the tailor potentially alter the trouser...
