What's On Your MUST SEE New Movie List?

I'm looking forward to Lincoln, with Daniel Day Lewis in the title role. He could read the telephone book and I'd pay to see it.

    Downton Abbey - I'm hooked

Did anyone happen to watch "Edwardian House", a BBC "reality" television show about modern-day people living as Edwardians? I ask because the manor in Downtown Abby looks very much like the house they used for Edwardian House and I'm wondering if they are indeed the same.

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

I don't mind so much when I miss something, because then I can catch up and watch all the previous episodes and still have more to look forward to. If I remember correctly the first season came out almost a year ago and there were only three episodes in that "season" as well.

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

I agree, I thought the elaboration of "The Woman" was very well done and creative. Can't imagine the producers doing that on American TV!!! I'd love the forthcoming Hound to surpass the Rathbone/Bruce version as well. It's too bad though that the new "season" is only three episodes!

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

Thought I'd revive this thread as the new season of Sherlock premiered today on BBC One. I caught the first episode (of three for the second season) today and thought it very well done. Excellent follow-up to the first season in every respect.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I went to see the U.S. version and liked it a lot. The director, David Fincher, expanded some of the roles, like Lisbeth's, and I thought it worked out very well. Excellent movie.

    Lowering the Crown on Hats

Yeah, I know, and I haven't even started drinking! LOL. Still, it's not a vintage hat or anything, I haven't completely lost my mind. It's a western hat I've had for several years, and the height has always bugged me, so I thought I might look into having it done by a professional.

    Lowering the Crown on Hats

I'm talking about reblocking the hat so it's lower when open. Thanks for the clarification.

    Lowering the Crown on Hats

I was curious, is it possible to lower the crown height on a preexisting 100% beaver felt hat, one that I have had for several years? The height has always bothered me and I'd like it lowered about an inch. I'm not thinking of doing this personally, but I was wondering if this is a service...

    Western, anyone?

If it came in yellow it would be a great hat for a Curious George costume, perfect for the Man in the Yellow Hat!

    Movie hats

Gotta disagree monbla256, it's sitting on top of his head IMHO. To each his own:-)

    Movie hats

I like the look of Lee Marvin's hat as well, though it looks too small for his head.

    How to travel with hats

I second that. Get a hat carrier if at all possible. Short of that, be sure to bring a plastic bag that will be large enough to cover your hat completely so it will go through the scanner without getting gunked.

    Very Surprised

I don't understand why the previous post was closed either. Didn't appear to be getting out of hand to me.
