What is the best way to store leather jackets?

I know it is best to lay them flat if possible rather than hanging, but most people simply do not have space to do that anyway. I would avoid any type of plastic bag for leather, especially if you live in some hot and humid countries. I do not think you need to completely seal your jacket...

    Vanson and Horween

The reason that I go for Vanson is their Comp. weight leathers, not Horween, I am sorry, but I do buy into the hype of Horween, nor Sinki.

Lewis Leathers - Which size fits me better?

42! I am not a fan of the very tight fit jacket, unless you really want the very trendy look (which may only last for 1-2 more years until the fashion switches back to loss fits).

Photos of fit and style that inspired you

This one is cool! To be honest, Ryan Reynolds has best body shape for any kind of jackets (even from a man's perspective). To me, I started off with this one, ended up buying it.

    Aquaman Favors Freewheelers

That reminds me of one man, Johnny Depp. With his infinite supply of old leather jackets, do you think he browses our chats and for sale forum here?

    Aquaman Favors Freewheelers

Oh well, you can have a clearer look here in the video. I think what they have done is trying to fit his chest size alone while not taking into account of the V-shape body and sleeve lengths (and huge arm holes.....).

PSA: Lewis Leathers will now allow orders without a logo on the front.

I don't think they are being threatened in the Japanese market. Yes, there are quality jackets with the same styles made by the Japanese locals, but the 'Made in England' brand does sell as we know that the Japanese worship these foreign imports. To be fair, whether the Japanese clones are...

PSA: Lewis Leathers will now allow orders without a logo on the front.

Ah well, these paid options are now being offered by lots of German car manufacturers. I think for model badges are simply glued on, something like the "M" or "AMG". I guess some odd wealthy persons want to be "discreet: with their equally noisy exhausts. I wonder if anyone would go as far as...

    Thoughts about Japanese brands

In a way, it is true, but in general, or statistically speaking, the chance of you getting a better product from Japan is much higher than in the US or most other parts of the world. But you are absolutely right, not all Japanese products are of the same quality, and somehow it is going...

    Thoughts about Japanese brands

As usual, I only join the discussion late after some very 'exciting' exchanges. I think 'Made in Japan' is usually a mark for quality in general. This comes from their culture as most manufacturers or makers take pride in their products. The craftsmanship (職人) culture is still deep in their...

PSA: Lewis Leathers will now allow orders without a logo on the front.

Ah well, I only see this as more of a body protection on bike rather than a jacket that I would wear if I am not riding :D. There is always a market for these anyway, otherwise how can they sell so many bikes with vivid liveries on!

Lewis Leathers Lightning in Vintage Turquoise HH

I would like to see how the horse in blue ages. I have never seen one before. After having my cowhide lightning for years, and wearing it sparsely, the leather still looks like new......

Lewis Leathers Lightning in Vintage Turquoise HH

I agree, that makes sense. Of course, in practical terms, it is still pretty difficult to use, imagine you are wearing gloves and want to reach for coins in such a tight pocket. As a owner of the Lightning, I can say that the rest of the pockets on the jacket are not very practical either...

Lewis Leathers Lightning in Vintage Turquoise HH

Very nice jacket! Is it a slim fit model or standard? Now that so many makers have up-ed their prices, Lewis seems to be a bargain with their quality and tailer services.

Pegasus horsehide - what it's like?

Oh, that is a surprise to me, I always thought that they are a small home business with their own in house tailors? And suddenly it's made in Korea? Korea labour is not exactly cheap at the moment, on one hand, Made in Korea is certainly not bad, you can say it is at least not from Pakistan or...

Complete rip off of Lewis Leathers cyclone in Clutch cafe, London.

The issue is really an interesting one, as I said before, Addict jackets are not meant to be sold outside of Japan. Some of the styles are indeed 'clones' of the Lewis jackets, and some argue the quality is even more than a match, but selling the jackets so close to each other is still a bit odd...

Complete rip off of Lewis Leathers cyclone in Clutch cafe, London.

Very interesting thread indeed. I always want to visit the Clutch Store in London, and now I am even more interested because of all these Addict collections being sold there. Regardless of all the copyright (morally or legally), Addict jackets are not intended to be sold outside of Japan anyway...

    Famous People in Flight Jackets

Maverick is back.... and whoever chose the Kawasaki H2R to replace his old GPZ-900R has good taste.

    Bronson MA-1 review

Nice jacket! Judging from your photo, the colour looks pretty good as it resembles more of an aged real deal. What sort of zipper has it got? I presume Talon?

What are your thoughts on painted/embroidered jackets, nose arts on the types like A2, B3, B6, etc.

I think there were several old threads about patches and nose arts on flight jackets back then. As many have mentioned, if they are originals from the 40s', they are certainly collectable items and should be preserved IMHO. As for the repros, there is always a split between patched/painted vs...
