As Boyo observed elsewhere, this is plainly conformation that Freewheelers occasionally does custom jackets (e.g., under threat of a tidal wave from the king of the seven seas).

Am I the only one who thinks that jacket is a size too big?
I would agree, a little baggy through the arms and wasit. But I wonder if its possible he got fitted and sized up when he was probably monstrously huge for the role? Probably stopped working out quite as hard after filming and lost a few lbs.

Seeing this photo only reminds me of what a complete waste of opportunity it was casting this guy as Aquaman instead of Lobo.

Seriously, why did Aquaman even get a movie?
Because DC knows how to take everyones childhood and piss on it! haha. Seriously being the sucker I am, I have seen all the current DCU movies and the only one that was remotely redeemable to me was Wonder Woman. That was a strong movie on its own. Hopefully WW 84 will also be. Oh right this about the jacket. If it fit better it would be one nice jacket.

Saw this in the paper this morning; looked better in the shot I saw. I did wonder which breed it was.

I think it looks a little loose on his lower body, but not too far off over the shoulders; I've seen a lot of the Japanese jackets shaped that way, presumably as Japanese men tend to be slighter over the shoulders in comparison to the rest of the body? He must be a 44/46, which is at the larger end of the scale out there. (Average chest in Japan is a 38, compared to 44 in Europe if memory serves).

It is a little big, but still looks good IMO. It looks much better in the Instagram pictures that I saw from Freewheelers.

It's a little tough to judge the jacket when we have no idea what the circumstances are for the fitting of the jacket.

If they ever do make Lobo they'll need to follow the deadpool model and go for the "R" rating. This character can't be washed out in cheesy, made for TV, CW effects and holding back. Ansolutely needs to be a black comedy/ horror movie.

If it doesn't make the MPAA revise their entire rating system and gets banned in at least 28 countries, the movie will be a failure. Lobo is the last hope for the whole superhero genre. Deadpool must seem like a Hallmark special afterwards.

Oh well, you can have a clearer look here in the video.

I think what they have done is trying to fit his chest size alone while not taking into account of the V-shape body and sleeve lengths (and huge arm holes.....).

Considering the exposure this jacket was going to get you would have hoped they would have done a better job.
Waist is huge, sleeves are huge, really the only thing that fits are the shoulders and chest.
Like you say they probably just enlarged the regular pattern to fit his chest size...

In his defense the jacket looks pretty much brand new. I am sure that had he worn (or paid his butler to wear it) it for a month before these pics/vids the fit would look a lot better.

As you would expect an actor with unlimited budget and a top maker to have an exact fit...again I question when he got fitted though? A lot of these actors in super hero movies are gigantic during filming then tone down their workout routine and lose a lot of mass after its over. Or others gain weight after from not hitting the gym. So in his and Freewheelers defense if he got fitted months ago and was at peak Aquaman bulkiness and then lost 20lbs of mass after filming not much can be done there.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Who knows what weight he got measured at vs. what weight he is now.
