Thanks for the responses, I've picked up a bottle of Champers and I think I'll try some out this evening.
I'm currently thinking:
Millionaire's Martini
Millionaire's Manhattan
Millionaire's Mai Tai
Millionaire's Sazerac or Old Fashioned
Millionaire's Brandy Alexander
Millionaire's...
I'm familiar with the Millionaire Cocktail but this is more a slight variation on a normal cocktail. In theory any cocktail can be made a "Millionaire" version of that cocktail by adding a touch of champagne once it it finished.
I've only found reference to a Millionaire Mojito online (they...
Champagne cocktails seem to be the order of the day to see in 2011 but has anyone ever heard of a Millionaire Cocktail.
In order to make a Millionaire Manhattan, you make a normal Manhattan and then top it up with a little champagne, you could do this with Mai Tai, Martinis etc.
Has anyone...
I'm a big fan of Martini Gadgets such as the Martini stones.
& The Martini Dropper:
Click the links for a little article on each. I also have a Victorian Laboratory beaker to mix my Martinis in.
Genius!
How about a hot toddy? 2pt Spirit (Brandy, Whisky, Gin, Dark rum) 1pt Sugar syrup/Honey 1pt Lemon juice 4pts boiling water
Mistletoe Mist: Muddle a few mint leaves with a tsp of sugar in a glass, add one shot of gin and two shots of warmed cranberry juice.

I heard a funny true story about Vespers recently:
20 roudy rugby players go into a bar and tell the bar tender they want a "proper cocktail", the barman (with a sense of humour) mixes 20 Cosmopolitans.
Rugby Player: "What's this?"
Bartender: "I didn't think you were ready for a proper...
Richmond 37.5% (I'll try and get a picture) I had some Gilbey's over here and i thought it was pretty good, under-rated to be fair. Maybe it's a different production.
I had but a small sip of some sloe whisky, with ginger beer but Mrs. B guarded it closely...
Nice one James!
I have just tried the WORST gin I have ever drank. I think it's juts a bottle of rubbing alcohol that someone once floated a juniper berry in. Truly afwul!
I found some 2007 Sloe gin in the cellar today, I opened it and was surprised it was still drinkable, not bad.
I like Damson Gin and I've got a bottle of blackcurrant gin to try too.
I'm sure prune gin would have good health properties! What with the stomach settling juniper too.
So that time of year has come around again, Sloe Gin time. I recently has the fortune to take part in a Taste test of 17 Sloe Gins, which got me wondering what is commercial available in the US and other parts of the world. I was surprised we managed to find as much as we did but some were...
Lochan Ora Liqueur by Chivas Brothers, Mrs. B has even written a review of it: http://summerfruitcup.wordpress.com/2010/11/21/whispers-of-whiskey-1-lochan-ora-liqueur/
James, you joke but you are spot on. My dislike for the substance is well know but the 1950s stuff was not too bad, a lot less bitter and more mellow.
Last night I had a horrible Aviation with Jospehine Gin (Mrs. B liked it though) and then a Martini made with the same stuff which was much...
