This is based on LisaFreemont Street's Marilyn Monroe tutorial. I think it came out well considering what I had to work with. I wore my hair this way to see Some Like It Hot and The Seven Year itch and I won the costume contest.

I love the 1950's Woman's day patterns. They are so multifunctional and fun. I have one for a halter or blouse with button on skirt and apron and used to have a strapless jumper with button on haleter vest, jacket and skirt.
I felt weird buying these but the top one has a 40's vibe.
When I went to see Stormy Weather in Feb they was a slide show with tons f amazing photos and clips from the 1940's. They woman who created it was going to e-mail me a copy but I never heard from her.
