Thanks, bowlerman. I have always been afraid of cutting a brim because I didn't want to ruin a hat that I paid money for. I saw that one at my neighbor's yard sale for 50 cents so I figured it would be a good practice project. Should be getting a ribbon for it today or tomorrow in the mail. I...
Manofkent, I am no expert. I have only done one ribbon replacement but it looks like you need to tack down the corners of your bow and along the bottom of the whole ribbon. Also vintage ribbons swirl better than modern ones and conform better to the hat's shape.
I had chickens a few years ago when I lived in Florida. I am finishing building a coup this week and planning to get three hens next week. I can't wait to have fresh, free eggs again. The kids are excited too!

I have always admired these hat print seats at the local boot and western wear store here in town.
Then yesterday I was in there an saw these women's rain boots in almost the same pattern.
Anyone else own or run into any other hat patterns on anything?
Finally got some warmer weather. Took my wife out to walk around today as she is about 39 weeks pregnant with our third child. Nobody really felt like dressing up. 50s Brent hat, Converse western style shirt, Custom tailored long Dickies shorts, Converse Chuck Taylors.
As a kid i preferred the rear facing back seat of a station wagon. Now I prefer the driver seat. If I have to ride as a passenger in someone else's vehicle I call shotgun. If cars still came with rear facing back seats I might still be interested in that spot.
Thanks Chep and SBG. with my tiny head and my face shape stingy is all i can find that looks right. I have a Borsalino Milan that has a wider brim. But on a felt hat I think a wider brim makes me look like a cowboy.
