Nice jacket but is it what you ordered?
The way I look at it these days. If you walked into a store and could buy it off the rack as is or with the specs you originally outlined, would you have bough this one off the rack?
I don't believe its the original company, someone just bought the name. Although I could be wrong.
I remember someone here reporting they weren't too impressed with the new stuff. I'm just waiting on an old Gold Label to arrive myself, great jackets and usually reasonably priced.

Personally, if the manufacturer is concerned enough to offer a discount or ask for "approval" I wouldn't take it.
Good on them for being so honest and upfront but if they have concerns, especially with this type of leather, I think you'd be better off waiting until they sort out their supply...
The Aero Speedway is actually based off a vintage design, I saw an original on eBay once. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's an exact repo (ie: they copied the pattern). Your bet bet is to probably contact them directly about this. I had one years ago but I cant remember if how the neck fit sorry.
Go the suede, you just need an interesting lining for when it rains ....
but on a serious note, I like the weight and initial feel of the Vicenza but tbh, I don't like the way it ages, its a bit dull compared to how other leathers age imo. Go with something else.
While I love my Californian, I don’t think I’d trust it as a riding jacket tbh.
It’s a good price on it but there are 2 concerning marks to be seen on the photos. One above the right hand pocket and another on the right hand rear shoulder.
I’d be asking for better photos of those 2 marks...
