Bro, Wardrobe 19 has 40% off a black cxl aero highwayman size 40. Should fit you.
To small for me according to Wardrobe but thank you!Bro, Wardrobe 19 has 40% off a black cxl aero highwayman size 40. Should fit you.
Yes, I don't like how it looks on the website. On the website it shows the jacket bottom hitting the middle of the belt, in the IG video its middle of the hip. The jacket also is baggy and the shoulders flare out like a Michael Jackson Thriller video jacket.
After many many purchases, I can say that if you have misgivings like this before buying you're going to regret itYes, I don't like how it looks on the website.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. The Aero Highwayman is a boxy, cropped/minimalist jacket, as is the Vanson Enfield. The Aero is cropped at about 23.5 inches in back length in size 44, and available in a host of different hides. If you're into the boxy cropped minimal look, this is a good jacket for you. Our Legacy materials are always really interesting and relatively durable. You will not find the same jacket from the hyped brands (on this forum) like Vanson or Aero.

I really don't want to start a keyboard war, but are we only allowed to discuss the exact same brands over and over again? Is everything else forbidden on this forum? I don't think so, and most experienced users tend to agree.I am just confused at this point. OP admits the jacket looks bad on the website and admits it may be too short for him. So what are we discussing here? At full retail of this jacket, there is alternatives like Lost Worlds Suburban or Test that offer a relaxed fit and fairly basic design, at the 700 USD pre-owned price, there is a new Vanson, e.g. Vanson Ike or Enfield to be had. There surely is more options too, these are just the first that come to mind. Johnson Leather will make you a custom jacket that suits all your needs for like 1000 USD.
This thread feels like a weirdly placed yet effective product placement at this point, we all give exposure to a product that noone likes, not even the thread starter.
Fair point, we can discuss any brand here. I would not buy from this brand because the fit looks very undesirable to me, the leather bland and the retail price opens the door to way too many alternative companies that offer more timeless designs. It may be worth looking for a used one if the style is really what you are looking for. If you and others disagree, that is fine of course. There is no right and wrong in taste after all, style is a very individual thing.I really don't want to start a keyboard war, but are we only allowed to discuss the exact same brands over and over again? There are actual facts that speak in favor of this jacket: the unique yet vintage-inspired shape (which I described in my original post), solid craftsmanship, and good leather. The leather might seem basic, but people who have actually held it in their hands confirm it's high quality. Plus, the current price on used market can be considered fair for Italian-sourced, veg-tanned leather. I'm not pretending to be an expert here, but I am relying on the opinions of others on this forum.
As for the argument about it 'going out of style' – that's actually one of the most interesting points I wanted to discuss. This jacket has been on the market for over 3 years now and is still popular. It’s an interesting take on a classic theme, so why shouldn't we discuss it and share our impressions?
Bringing up alternatives like the Vanson Ike or Enfield is actually very useful input, and exactly the kind of discussion I was hoping for! However, it's worth keeping in mind that these specific options aren't realistically accessible for those of us located in the EU (due to massive import duties, shipping, and return hassles)
definitely not genuine, a lot of chinese copies since this jacket is so popularI was curious as this thread went on, and there seem to be about a dozen of these that sold recently with several listed still for sale all at the £150-250 price point.
I don't follow the brand but any idea what the deal with those is given the prices mentioned in this thread. I guess those are perhaps not genuine or else used prices vary a lot?
That's just the fashion trend the last couple years. If you check Balenciaga, that's basically what you see. At best it looks oversized, at worst it looks as your older brother's jacket who already outgrew it. Other brands just follow.I find it genuinely funny that most of the promo sales photos look like the model has borrowed someone elses jacket, which obviously doesn't fit them - and yet that seems to be the look people are going for with this.
Thank you for this reply. Pure class (much needed on internet forums). I would love to score a Vanson Enfield in pristine condition in that price range in my size, but I haven't been able to.Fair point, we can discuss any brand here. Have you bought the used one for 700€? Maybe you are right and it actually is a great deal, but until I see a proper review with HD shots and fit pictures of one, I remain highly sceptical.
Edit: As for issues with overseas shipping, taxes, etc, check out Vinted, there is plenty of pre owned Vansons to be had in Europe, many Enfields too!
Yes but there were always trends—some of them stick, and some just come back. Isn't it just like the trend in the 1940s, though? The 1940s were the exact era of building a strong silhouette through a very distinct, broadened shoulder line. It was accompanied by large, prominent collars to balance out that shoulder width (like OL jacket). That's just the fashion trend the last couple years. Considering this, it makes sense for this jacket to have been on the market for 3 years already, but it still begs the question of for how much longer will it be.

Wow! beautiful jacket! Never seen it in on used market in UE thoughhttps://www.vansonleathers.com/casu...rial_color-black_competition_weight/7-size-32
Have you looked at the Vanson Mercury? It is VERY close in style to that jacket you posted. Maybe look out for that on the used market too.
Don't get me wrong! I don't really know the brand, just tried to give it an explanation to the jacket being available for three years. I agree that fashion is cyclical, so things constantly go in and out of it.Yes but there were always trends—some of them stick, and some just come back. Our Legacy basically took that "boxy" silhouette from the 1940s and early 50s and filtered it through a contemporary, minimalist design. You could also argue there is a strong 1980s vibe here, since the 80s actually brought back those exact same massive shoulders and cropped, boxy cuts. So to me, it feels more like a nod to historical proportions rather than just following a current Balenciaga trend.
