Thoughts on this leather? (What makes a "good" leather?)

Hi everyone, I'm currently looking at some leather options for a custom B-3 jacket.

I'm pretty new to this, so I'm not entirely sure what exactly qualifies as "good" leather... but I'm hoping to find something durable that will last a long time.

I know the thickness of the leather is an important factor, but what do you guys think of the surface texture and grain in the photos?

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to drop a comment!

Please do some searches, there has been So Much Discussion on these topics.
Starting new threads for your first post generally does not add value to the forum.

Do a little research, and you will find out a lot more than you likely ever wanted to know.

Sheepskin jackets, like the B-3 and many other jackets will necessarily have the underling leather on the outside of the jacket.

Concur with suggestion as to doing "searches". Most decent sheepskin jackets are OK for cold, but maybe not so much if rain is encountered.
