I’m thinking only Tartu and Monitor could pull off the leather pants… I wouldn’t dare, I lack the competence^ Super cool! You really pull off the leather pants. That’s not easy.
Agree. Had a great pair of weathered Vansons. Wore them on the bike a few times but not around town. Lacked the confidence.I’m thinking only Tartu and Monitor could pull off the leather pants… I wouldn’t dare, I lack the competence
Help me over think a purchase here:
I usually buy size 33” to 33.5” waist jeans so they fit just a little snug in the waist and eventually stretch to 34” (assuming pre-washed) - which is my actual waist. If I buy a pair at 34” there won’t be any tension in the fabric when I wear them, so they shouldn’t stretch any bigger right?
I’m more concerned about them starting out as a loose/comfort fit and stretching into something unwearable. Off the rack, these will fit nicely but probably still need a belt to stop them slipping down to my hips.Take the 34". Tight-fitting jeans used to be a MUST, but at my age I loathe the feeling of a pair of jeans that is just that little bit to snug at the waist.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Oh, I know!
It´s a bit of a pickle, as you never really know how much a specific fabric stretches/re-shrinks with washing. Even with the same maker I have had jeans that have virtually zero stretch/shrinkage and on the other side of the spectrum a variation of a full size.
What I do know though is that I am no longer buying jeans that start out as snug at the waist, hip or backside.
Absolutely! That coupled with the fact the shop lists these as 34” but the maker lists them as 35”, I’m very hesitant to take a gamble.

Yeah. I have recently bought too pairs of jeans from an online-shop. I enquired about actual waist-measurements for both and received them in a fast and seemingly very friendly way.
Turns out, the first was too small by an inch and the other too wide by 1,5 inch. Hard to conceive that both should somehow magically fit the same person. Whoever measured must have been drunk or unwilling, and I returned both, requesting a refund on shipping costs (pending).
Sounds like all jeans these days to be honest. I normally purchase 6 pairs of the exact same Colour and size, and out of those 6, 1 maybe 2 will fit properly.

I really feel like nobody cares at all. Never had anyone stare at them or throw any comments. Even wore them to the office for an official Area photo yesterday. So the "confidence" thing doesn't register for me somehow. Maybe it's related to me living in EE where people keep to themselves. Most likely folks would think I'm either a moto rider or *** or an artist. Around these parts usually ladies wear (obviously thinner or even vinyl) leather pants.Agree.
