Yes, sometimes I move stuff, forget about the episode and start looking a few years down the road. When I remember it’s gone, I make peace with it. I have enough stuff and consider my lucky that I was able to handle even more.

There are two thing I do regret selling: an irreplaceable wristwatch and an irreplaceable sports car. I had good reason for the sales, and I’d probably do it all over again. Still I miss both even after years.

I know. jackets come and go. Moving on to other stuff. It’s an ongoing exploration and collection of experiences. Some jackets stay longer than others, but they are all just passing through. Often when I look at pictures of stuff I used to own I don’t feel any regret. Other times I wonder why I passed it on. I do remember what my motives were but in the rear view mirror the motives seem weak. Surely, I can’t be the only one?
