Breaking out a new Double Helix type 3. The custom fit (size 36 with size 38 length/shoulder/arms) is great (I think ) . Curious about people’s opinion on the leather? This is brand new and it developed wrinkling on front panel right away…being my first time with a new leather jacket I’m not sure if it’s to be expected or sign of lower quality leather? I have a used Y2 which is a little thicker overall, but has no wrinkles like this… overall I’m happy with the jacket but not sure if I got a defect, or it’ll blend in once the whole jacket breaks in.

I just had to amend my earlier post with an update. The DH is breaking in nicely and gets better day by day (I wish I could say the same for myself!) best fitting jacket I own and can’t wait until some of the teacore comes through in time.

I considered a Vanson CHP in this weekend’s sale then decided against because it’s about to be summer. This photo has me reconsidering.

I considered a Vanson CHP in this weekend’s sale then decided against because it’s about to be summer. This photo has me reconsidering.

For a long time, I struggled with this jacket due to the length. Still do a tiny bit, but I wore it every day I could for a month during my trip overseas and I'm glad I didn't let it go. My favourite jacket as of this moment, Vanson knows how to nail patterns, super comfy, nice V-taper when zipped, thick and heavy but soft leather.

Black cross zips are just my jam I guess, funny since I originally started out meh on them!

That is so cool! What's going on with the strip of leather sitting by the zipper? Rest of the jacket looks mint and that strip looks super worn in.

The jacket actually has lots of patina up close. The wind flap over the zipper and two of the back belt loops have gone full tea core I guess My wife actually loves this one….it has a certain “Je ne sais quoi”…
