Man, that is perfect. The color, the fit, the style. It’s so good that I’d get a weird itch to lock it in a safe instead of wearing it.

Today: Aero Original Herc in Black Badalassi. I really like the hide a lot. Something different for sure.

The other thing is that the fit is absolutely perfect after the remake. I planned to have this for cooler temps, and I can easily wear a sweater under it, yet it still works with just a T-Shirt.

Ralph Lauren right? You know the only reason I seeked out an Aero was because I was looking for something that was made better and cost less than RL. And now it just came full circle for me. Back to looking at Ralph Lauren…. Haha…. They do vintage inspired very well.

Gibson & Barnes M-422a. Jacket is getting daily wear literally rain or shine; wore it during a torrential downpour as the remnants of Tropical Storm Elsa lashed NYC, and again today (warm & partly sunny) aboard a boat at a commercial dive barge survey site in NY harbor.

When you find a jacket that is equally stellar with a T and with a sweater, you hit it. It’s why I love my LW Trojan. It works on me. I need to go back and look but I’m pretty sure it is the only jacket where I can say that. Looks great good sir.

Thank you very much! It’s pretty heavy too and still relatively stiff. Not CXL heavy or stiff, but it will drape even better when broken it. Amazing hide, really.

The hide is in fact pretty grainy. Together with the shiny, almost lacquered coating it makes for a spectacular look.

That is a very nice fit. I've owned several versions including the Aero and none of them worked for me. I also have an Original, but too small for wearing. Something in the length, I was just too short. Your jacket looks great. I missed the back shot? Interior?

Sears first showed the backs of jackets in 1935 catalog. The Original Hercules shows up in the 1936 catalog. First Half-Belt leather in the Sears catalog.
