I can’t decide if I like this one or the Rich Sher better. But damn they are both perfect “perfecto” style jackets. Much better than Schott. Even if all the hyperbole of the years from Schott is true and they invented the first ever in this style. Even if it were true Brando wore a Schott not a Durable, the Lawrence and Rich-Sher did it better!

I dig that huge coin pocket. Love that jacket.

Thank you. You can fit a lot of coins in there. Or an entire pack of smokes.

The zipped pockets are quite large, too. The one next to the coin pocket is basically a large D pocket without the outline.

That is the best cross zip in your collection imho....The hide, the fit....really nice. I'd like to see a shot with the cuffs unzipped and your hands out of your pockets...mainly b/c I want to believe they would be too short on me and I him'd and haw'd over this jacket when it was on ebay....always wanted a Lawrence.

It's raining now and I put the mouton collar back on, so interior photos.

As with so many vintage jackets, the sleeves on the Lawrence are on the shorter side. I feel they're short on me and I'm certain they'd be short on you. If I'm wearing a long-sleeved shirt, it's tough to zip up the cuffs all the way and have any amount of reach. Despite how the jacket appears in the photos and how it measures, it feels a little small on me. I find the Rich-Sher more comfortable because it's a bit larger and can accommodate more layering. I can only fit a t-shirt or thin shirt under the Lawrence. The mouton collar adds a little bulk at the neck, too.

Not complaining, though. One thing I really like about the Lawrence is the super wide wind flap. The leather is a really beefy choice cut, too. Like a delicious steak.

Short sleeves might mean that the jacket was designed to be worn with gauntlet style riding gloves. Get some and try it out.
