Almost feeling selfconscious posting denim jacket in this thread, how time flies and hype comes and go (cough) like avian flu.... who was the patient zero again? Failed to remember....

Cafe Racer jacket in Battered Seal mid-HH arrived two days early to Taipei, just in time for cooler weather and mild typhoon (typhoons in Taipei seem much kinder than HK equivalents). I sized up to a 42 and, for me, this is an ideal fit for this style (I don't want to look like laowei sausage-boy). The sleeves will shorten up, but they're also quite handy as they are. The inner lining is black cotton drill; much as I like tartan linings, this might be harder-wearing and better for when the temperature starts to climb again. As I work at altitude, this'll definitely see a good few months' wear...

The sleeves look unbalanced because I've trapped a nerve in my shoulder, so I'm a bit lop-sided.

I reckon this is a bit heavier than the Battered Tan; it's already showing some lighter areas due to creasing (and because I wear it out in the deluge like a boss).

Thanks Bowen. It's a late 40s/early 50s model that has been around more than a few blocks. I see the back has picked up a few wrinkles from being at the bottom of a pile for the summer. Oh well, hopefully they will hang out. The boots are some Sears Wearmasters of about the same age as the jacket, I think. Double tanned with a stitched and nailed tire cord sole.
