I have my opinion. Just curious what others think.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: This may be a very reasonably priced offering for someone who fits into Aeros patterns, but I always found them restrictive and the weight not well balanced over the shoulders which resulted in neck pain if worn for longer. It is apparently a body-type thing because others love theirs, but I won't buy an Aero again, no matter how beautiful they are to look at.

Looks like the chest pockets are not aligned. When I see this on any jacket, regardless of the price, I wouldn’t wear it for free. Absolute deal breaker.

Yeah, I'm referring to the QC issues.

I can't imagine this is just an aesthetic issue- it's an asymmetrical construction, which must impact fit. The question is how noticeable that impact is... but with a fitted pattern like a cafe racer, I don't see how it couldn't feel at least slightly off...

The last thing I want to do is upset Aero nation on this forum, but for me, this is bananas. The jacket is $1000 USD. I don't know of anybody else, including the oft-maligned Simmons Bilt, who would even sell a jacket with mismatched gusset seams, or if they did, wouldn't blow it out at some absurdly low number.

Not really, no. GBP 750 is not a small amount of money especially given the fit issues and constructions issues.

It's not a model I'd be looking for, though that aside I'd probably want to try something on first to see if the declared QC flaws bothered me or not. I would think there'll be someone out there who will be perfectly happy with it at that price, give it's about £400 of a reduction, a little shy of USD700 off retail.

You are telling me an Aero CR is 1150 GBP BEFORE TAXES these days?

Wild.

Edit: It is not, is it? Starts at 925 GBP, so it is a 20% off.. good deal for an off the rack jacket if you want to save 180 GBP in favour of customising lining etc.. but thats with a flawless jacket, not a botched Mondays job.

Depends where you are. ROW 925 GBP before taxes, UK 1110 GBP taxes included. Just select one or the other when entering Aero's website, applies to all jackets.

I can't imagine Aero would have listed the jacket if the error was going to impact wearability in any serious way. Obviously whether someone is bothered by the asymmetry of the looks is an entirely personal decision.

I think people are probably a bit naive about the financial pressures that Aero (and almost any other small or medium size business in the UK) are under. They haven't raised their prices in years and I'm sure they're aware that they don't have a lot of scope for increasing the custom jackets further at a time when a lot of people are getting twitchy. Their margins will have been absolutely hammered by material costs, energy bills and the recent increase in national insurance.

Charging a little more for the stock jackets is a good way for them to claw some of that back. If someone is willing to pay the list price, that's great for them - they do quietly reduce those that sit there for a long time.
