How to spot a fake Schott jacket from the 50s-60s

Hello, fellow vintage leather enthusiasts :)

I’d like to ask for your expert opinion on this late 1950s/1960s Schott Perfecto jacket (the label allows me to date it fairly precisely thanks to the chart I found here :)).
I’m wondering how to tell if this is a genuine Schott or not.
At first glance, I think the creasing patterns on the steerhide leather are almost impossible to reproduce convincingly by artificial means. It shows internal structural wear: the fibers have loosened in specific areas related to the actual movement of the human arm over decades.
The Talon zipper is also a good sign of authenticity.

So I'd tend to think it's an authentic jacket. But what do you guys think about its authenticity? And what would be a fair price to pay for it? $200–$300?

Thank you so much for your insights !

Hi,
I've got a 40s 50s A2 like this except no fit collar, the lining is the gold rayon and it's got a little IMS - International military supplies, Roosevelt ave, Philadelphia, label inside the jacket behind the zip in the bottom
It's in great condition - the material next to the zip looks new, the cuffs and hem wool is perfect and elastic, the schott bros inc gold lettering on the neck loop is perfect, bright and crisp and the leather still feels completely flexible.
It's basically a one in a million condition, never seen one like that again, sort of Jacket and I would be asking a lot more than $300 and this one looks in a similar condition. So if you did get this for $300 or anything like it I think you get a bargain.
Do you mind me asking what you got for it?
I'm not expert by the way, I've only gained this opinion on price after heavy research.

The jacket is a Schott 674 of 60s-80s vintage, though it has a different label than the standard one.

The back/sleeve construction gives it away: it predates the still-made "four-way" versions with the G-1-like belt back and removable fur collar. I bought the exact same jacket - except for the label, it didn't say Perfecto and it identified it as a 674 - in 1983 (on sale in a downtown shop for $99!) and wore it religiously through several NYC winters.
