Tonight.....night before payday dinner a.k.a. use whatever is around the house. Rubbed bacon grease all over a whole head of cauliflower and seasoned it with Italian herbs and roasted it in the oven, crumbled up a pack of sausage and fried it up with extra garlic and red pepper flakes and made gravy with it, and cooked some rice.

Tonight I'm trying out a recipe for Cheeseburger Soup. I've liked other recipes from this site that I've tried, and it has BACON in it, so how could it be bad???

http://damndelicious.net/2014/03/03/cheeseburger-soup/

I'll report back as to how it is.

Well, I'm torn about this soup. For once, I used someone else's recipe, and I didn't like it. There wasn't enough flavor to this soup (compared to what I make on my own). Even hubby said it was a bit bland. He made a couple of suggestions of what to do to make it taste more like a cheeseburger (and not just potato soup with hamburger in it, which is what it tasted like). I'll give it another go in a few weeks to see if we like it any better. We're thinking some dried dill in the soup, and garnish with chopped tomato and a little bit of mustard might help with the flavors.

**Lily loved it. She ate a bowl and a half of it (minus the potatoes, but she's not a potato fan), plus a biscuit.**

So, this is what it looked like.
