What "Style" do you WISH you could pull off, but know you can't?

I think especially if you live in the US there's a lot of stigma. Sp many "country" guys wear them. I love hats, but even I make sure I don't wear anything too cowboy-esque

I suspect a lot has to do with there still being people in parts of the US who wear Western styles "for real". It would be remarked on over here (outside elements of it within the rockabilly subculture), but there's nobody claiming authenticity / a 'right' to wear such things as against others. It would be seen as eccentric to dress like a cowboy in the UK, but nobody would try to gatekeep the style.

For me it’s biker jackets / cross zips.

These look so amazing on a lot of other people but on me, it looks like I’m trying too hard.

Could be what @Edward said above about confidence lol

Just look at anything @TartuWolf is wearing - I cannot pull it off. He certainly can, in spades.
You flatter me! A lean waist really helps me look good, similar to @MrProper :)
And I'm definitely the weirdo of the neighborhood, dressed in heavy boots, thick denim and a heavy leather jacket while taking the kids to the kindergarten or spending time with them in the playground.
One guy said to me today "No way I could do engineer boots, I have a desk job". I told him it's much more about attitude - I work behind a screen at an IT job as well, but that doesn't prevent me from wearing what I want!

Yours would be the L.L. Bean catalogue. Not that you’d want to ;)

Interesting question. I think most of the time it's a question of confidence more than anything. Though I know, even if I wanted to, I'd look ridiculous in a late 60s style skinny suit. Think Alexei Sayle's stage wear in the early eighties (which was deliberate and for comedic value).

I have always appreciated the look of a zoot suit, but I really feel far too whited for that not to be a cultural appropriation too far. I did for a time toy with the idea of having one made in tweed, though.
I believe people are wearing those skinny suits again.

The only thing I know about LL bean are those half rubber boots :D
I think they're cool. Unfortunately, I only have the copy from Sorel. But maybe I'll get the original one ;-)

I have both LL Bean and Sorel.
Like the Sorel better. The heel and sole is a lot more durable. LL Bean no longer stands behind the boots. You used to be able to trade the worn out boots in for a new free pair every year. Not anymore.
