This is one of the best threads on this forum. I'm finally contributing to it. I just reshaped my early 1980's Borsalino to a shallow 6-sided diamond crease. All my fedoras have diamond creases because that's what I'm used to seeing in movies (I almost exclusively watch American movies from the 1940's and 1950's). I'll try to post pictures of my other diamond crowns later.

What hat is that? Looks great.

It's a cheap wool felt hat from the 1990's sold by The Nature Company, part of their "John Muir Collection", this one is the "Sierra Club". Orvis also has a John Muir hat which is much better, and fur felt, quality. I put in hours to reshape the whole thing and stiffen it because wool doesn't hold shapes too well. It looks nice but it still feels like a cheap hat.

well done, looks good.

And here's another diamond crown style that I experimented with last summer on my backyard/landscaping John Muir basher hat. It's a 4-sided diamond with a waterdrop/teardrop raised centre.

Make that well done on both of them
