Yeh, I always thought it would have to have the wool stamp.
This is the only thing given on the sweatband and the liner is just the simple logo seen in the first pics.

To me that definately looks like an older Mallory... Most the new ones have "Mallory by Stetson" displayed pretty prominantly. From what little I can see of the felt... Id venture to say yours IS fur felt

I concur with @RickP, that's way too thin to be wool and the sharpness of the crease screams lotta beaver.
