Just to follow up on your C&F hat question, Randall. I found this old thread:

My guess would be that C&F had hats made by various companies. Some were French, but not all. Perhaps if it doesn't say "made in France", it's not.

I picked this one up from Daniele a couple of years back. Apparently, the binding was in a poor state, so he had the wonderful Fleur in Holland fix it. If I remember rightly, the colour is close to the original.

Pecan beaver felt custom from Mike Miller at NW Hat Co. A longtime favorite. This came open crown and the first bash was a wide center crease. Now it's got a diamond crease and has made a nice home here.

Sun is peeking out of the clouds today but rain in the forecast, running 40° - 50°F today. Sorry for those still in the freezing weather and especially those without power. We have been lucky and our electricity service has stayed on even through the freezing rain when so many others lost power.

I often wonder if a gas bath would bring out more blue in this Mirtillo. Haven't been inclined to experiment so far. Maybe I'll just rename it blackberry.

Very helpful.
I carefully looked behind the sweat and saw a reorder tag that gave up nothing useful and another tag that stated its color as Cubatan and under style said, C&F and then size.
Nothing else.
It’s a well made hat with superlative felt, so had to be made by a top flight company.
