That hat always makes me thirsty & salivate. All Single Malt jokes aside, I wonder if the name has any connection to Glen Burnie, a suburb of Baltimore, MD?Well, guys, gals and platter pals, it seems we made it to Thursday. Thin Ribbon Thursday, even.
Venturing out in the morning rain under a hat from an independent. This is the Glenburnie.

I really enjoy seeing the "other" brand names, lesser known hats. Looks great Jim.Well, guys, gals and platter pals, it seems we made it to Thursday. Thin Ribbon Thursday, even.

Looking forward to seeing it MB.I'm about to be wearing a new Boss of the Plains. Went to the Stetson Factory outlet store yesterday to have some blocking done on one of my O'Farrell's and found a Pecan colored BOTP in my size, perfect fit.
So I laid it on a stack of hat boxes near the steaming station and when it came time to leave I totally forgot about it and left it laying there.
Going back today to bring it home. They had two of them so hopefully there wasn't a 'run' on BOTP's in my size yesterday!
I came back to see this hat again Steve. Just too cool for school! What these very modern light weight felt Borsalinos lack in terms of the Borsalino quality of yore, they make up in terms of funky fun to wear. Had me some fun wearing it today.
Thanks again to Brent for sending this one my way.

This Royal Stetson was my first Vintage hat. Sent me down the Rabbit Hole as many have said here in the FL.
Thanks Greg, and yes Doug does have this hat. Good memory Greg.Nice and unusual ribbon treatment for a fedora. I like it. I think Doug has a similar one.
I think Bowen has called that style of ribbon by name before, but I don't remember it. I have a couple without the ribs, like this Penny Towncraft.Nice and unusual ribbon treatment for a fedora.
Thank you, Steve.Steve, Thank you! Sharp looking Borsalino from you!

Thanks Steve. Love the looks of these vintage beauties but I really don't give them fair head time. I'm more partial to western or custom made in my grab and go hats.Absolutely super looking Borsalino, Ken.

It works well in the transition to a mid ribbon on a Western dress hat like this 3x6 from hatWRKS, Nashville.I like that style The only example I have is this 6 ply on my Portis western.
