Thanks Jim. It was a small company I worked for based out of Jacksonville. Mostly independent guys work there.. though we definitely had a lot of big names work their way through. Sounds like your hey day was in between mine (if I had one LOL) and Buddy Rogers.. he was the top guy wherever he went for most of the 50’s and 60’s. Now I keep his tribute site up at buddyrogers.net and on social media. Just my way of giving back and keeping his legend alive.

Thanks again.. you are right. A very cool feather in my fedora.. or homburg as it were that night :)

I started becoming a fan in the 60s with Bobo Brazil, The Kangaroos, Tex McKenzie, Ben Justice and the Stomper, etc. Cry Baby Cannon was a big deal, too, along with Bull Curry, his kid, Flyin' Fred Curry, and of course, the Original Sheik. And man, I loved me some Bruiser Brody - I was heartbroken by his murder.

I reacquainted myself in the 80s watching old Georgia Championship Wrestling, Vern Gagne's AWA (Nick Bockwinkle FTW!), and the WCCW out of Texas (Von Ericks and the like). I enjoyed it in the late 80s when the Hulkster took it prime time, but then it lost me.

Another cool gloomy day. Got to do some things in town, so I'm wearing this beautiful 40ish Royal Stetson "Colony".

Also rocking a vintage Burberry's overcoat.

Thanks so much Tim! It was for sure!!
Love watching World Class and the Von Erics in the late 80’s. Such a cool company they had. I see Kevin on Twitter I think his sons are wrestling now.. pretty cool. Felt like the perfect chance to go with the Homburg

I seem to remember it more in the 60’s and 70’s. Maybe that’s when Fritz Von Erich started. I’ll always remember the ‘Iron Claw’, I still do that to my grandkids.....

Got some catching up to do with the FL being down last week and three hats arriving from Stefan.

I'll start today with this Woodrow of London short brimmed Fedora. A beautiful heather felt. The orange, red, and brown hues on this one are hard to capture, but a delight to behold.

A big thanks to Stefan yet again for finding this beauty. IMG_20200222_205710.jpg IMG_20200223_153440.jpg IMG_20200223_153442_1.jpg IMG_20200224_230643.jpg

Part two of this two hat day...

Wide World of Wrestling Champ7 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

So this part could use some explaining...

Back in the 1990’s I wrestled professionally as ‘The Legacy’ Blare Rogers. Grandson of Nature Boy Buddy Rogers... Buddy was the very first WWE champion (then WWWF) in the early 60’s. One company I worked for in Florida and around the Caribbean was Wide World of Wrestling (now Champ7). They called me a few weeks back and let me know they wanted to induct me into the 2020 class of their Hall of Fame. What an honor it was to be inducted into a group of talent I consider serious legends in that business. It was very cool to be remembered for work we did a quarter century ago already. AND it was definitely an occasion to break out the Lord Kent Beaver 15 Homburg. What a very cool night it was!

And this was me back when I worked for Wide World of Wrestling holding their Bahamas championship for a year or so.
