Thanks all for the likes and kind words on yesterday's hat.

Wait a minute. WTH did I wear yesterday? Oh, yeah, the Dalt-O-Liner. I need to wear that more often!

Happy TAR Thursday. Looking forward to the hat parade. I'll throw this in the ring today.

Borsalino Ludoela. What Moon always referred to as my "closet hat." I usually wear it with "apartment pants." [emoji16]

Good morning a Lee Desert Tones was my hat choice for a hike across the slippery snows.

Below is in answer to Matt's request of close-up felt pics of the heathered Borsolino. Warm brown, red tones are features I see.

Best this morning, Eric -
Man... that Lee is a pretty hat.

Thanks for the bonus shot of the Borsalino. What a great combination of colors!

I spent a few hours shoot my this afternoon and the Stetson Gun Club seemed the perfect choice:

You look really good in this style hat Brent. Love those silver adornments on that band.

"Out of the closets and into the streets!!" Maybe not the best sentiment for a beautiful Borsalino, but this is what first popped into my head. Nice one Jim.

Great looking Rand this morning Bob.

That Lee is quickly becoming one of my favorites Eric. The classic lines and ribbon work really make me happy.

Merry Thersdee.
Dunlap derby with vents that comes from around 1900.

Have a fun day.

Love the shape of the crown on this old derby. Disturbing image, but somehow quite appropriate for such an old piece.

Now there's an invitation. My missus has this uncanny perception, so good is she that I joke that she must be a witch. The joke is long running and to that end she has lots of witchy collectables in her sewing cabin.
The reason that I have explained that is because I wanted to do something special to celebrate our golden wedding in May. Provisionally I've booked a flight over London in a pre-war Dragon Rapide biplane, we might also get a day's excursion on a Flying Scotsman steam hauled train, but later in the year I've been thinking about taking her to New England in the early part of The Fall, it's somewhere we both want to visit. I would especially like to treat her to a trip to Salem, where else would you take a witch?
It would be the our first time north of the Mason-Dixon, do you guys drive on the left? I'll keep you updated if we do go, but if you see a couple of Limeys on the wrong side of the road, you'll know who it is.

Come on over!!!

Do we drive on the left? We just learned how to control fire around here!

I would concur that autumn can be the most breathtaking time of year in New England. My personal favorite time/place is in northern New England, around the last week of September, or the first week in October. The northeastern corner of Vermont bills itself as "The Maple Center of the World," and during foliage season there's no mistake!

Salem has become a complete freak show, requiring tons of police presence, etc., but may be perfect for a truly memorable event!

Stay in touch, and please PM me should you wish to explore more possibilities. I was born and raised up there, and lived around "Beantown" for longer than I want to mention...

Damn good to see you Karl. Sporting a fine lid, all comfy looking. Don't be a stranger, or any stranger than you are already :).
Thanks red, I've been wearing a Wooley hat all winter, needed to cover my ears as my left ear was damaged and rebuilt last spring and although i don't think titanium rusts it doesn't like the cold and damp. Infections. It only became spring right about today. Hat time. These new long winters are killing me softly. Jeeze we were making snowmen only a couple of weeks back, in march, unheard of in Dublin. Hope you are well.
