You and Mrs Fed were both looking great at the wedding. Looks like a fun time.

View attachment 81264 Been a little while since I posted a pic on here... The wife and I out on the town tonight. The Scala Boater tagged along. ;)
Great looks for a night on the town. Can't beat a boater to top off an outfit.

Looks like a beautiful place to vacation Johnny. Super family portrait too.

Last evening I went out to listen to some jazz in a Cordova linen cap.

This morning I was wearing my new Cavanuagh. Light colored felt is just so soft to the touch.

The Cavanaugh edge. Found on vintage hats only!

The vintage Cavanaugh blocking and brim proportions are definately distinctive.

Unfortunately the wind by the lake made me fear the hat will blow into the water and I switched to a Monsavais Cap.

Best, Eric -
Don't you outfit all of your hats with PFDs? I maybe wouldn't worry too much about a dunking off the dock, but out in a boat could make for a more problematic retrieval.

Another no hat day for me.

Thanks to all for your wishes. Good news is that after 10 hours in hospital around midnight on Friday, they concluded I did not have appendicitis but that I did have an infection with some 20 letter name. They let me go yesterday evening with a bunch of medicine and told me to rest.

Again, the wonderful hats you have been sporting have been a real pleasure!

Day #2 at the Newport Jazz Festival. Yesterday benny golson, the Christian McBride big band, Branford Marsalis, and snarky puppy were the stars of the day. Today started out with the Massachusetts all-state big band. They were high schoolers, and phenomenally good. My son was a little sour on them cuz he auditioned for that band and was rejected. Their loss! But even he had to admit they knew their stuff. Not big on the current big stage band, gonna go wander and see who is on the smaller stages.

Absolute bad ass picture! Not sure why but I immediately thought of the pink panther music when I saw it. Karl and the mystery of the Natural History Museum! ;) Looking great sir
