SBG- where can I get a tree like yours that grows such a nice bunch of hats?:)
He harvest them too soon. I would let them get more brim ;)

Joao, Eric, AnA, great looking hats guys! :thumb:
Thank you. Last day in Europe or already in the US?

Enjoying my Falcon Park this morning... while it's still "cool" out.
I like the felt/ribbon color combo. Brim too short for me ;)

Topper day...
Arno Weiske opera hat

Congrats to you, FrunoB! Really an excellent profile for you, Perfect proportions!!

As I've been in and out of the loop over the last few days, it's both a joy and frustrating to try to keep the pace with you boys.

Early this morning we were out with my French made black beauty. Dating this one has been difficult, as the range of estimates goes from the early thirties to the late fifties. Whatever, it's one of only two black hats I own...

that thing is RIDICULOUS !!!

I absolutely love it !!

and bashes like that have SOOO much character ... awesome

I'm not familiar with that make but by the width of the sweat and it looking of pretty thin leather but having a wider brim I would have to guess 40s .... not sure if the sweat being unreeded comes into play here

I'm loving that hat ... and that bash is perfect for a hat like that

bravo over and over

Well, my first CD got here - Silverbelly - yesterday. Didn't get to crease it until this AM. Nothing special, and I'm sure I'll work on it as it settles onto my head.

It is, as advertised, big. Bigger than my other Akubra, this one will fall off my head if I'm not too careful. Were it not for this forum, I'd be having a minor meltdown over this; however, I'm confident that, after a few wearings, it's going to fit great. This is my first and only Silverbelly, as well. I've been looking to get some lighter colored hats on my head and this fills the bill.

That's a great looking hat. I really like the slight contrast of the ribbon color to the silver belly hat. It'll probably be my next buy, because, like you, I want a few lighter hats in my wardrobe.

Re size; I received a bluegrass CD last weekend. Because I'm impatient (and it's too hot here to wear a felt hat) I wet the back of the sweatband with a sponge, then let it dry. It fits perfectly now.

Wow-ZA, Bob! Perfect for the heat (although your semi calado yesterday looked perfect, too)!

But too hot and humid for your Prince Albert Ring (earring) today?

How do you like it? I've had my eye on the Bogart in Toast.

I do like it, its got the pinch protect and a bit of water guard,,,I wasn't aware of that, so it's a great any day hat.... in case of a quick shower or a wind gust.......

I had problems deciding between toast or the bleach... most of my panama's are natural except for my Montecristi...... so I opted for the bleach.... I was surprised it was comfortable as they don't come in anything but S, M, L etc.......

A & A great pics , same for 1mach1.......... really sharp looking...

Bob-The panama version of the 47 looks much better than the shantung version I have which turned into a floppy mess
Alan-impeccable as always even in a stingy! And what a great wide ribbon at that
Smooth-great Cordova. I love the jaunty tilt you're sporting!

Nice bunch of hats today.
Bob, I gotta get one of those 47's.

Fruno, congrats on the SB CD. NC, BTW. (Nice Crease, By The Way) :)

hatsRme, does that Frenchie smell of chien mouille when wet?

Alan, awesome as usual. You, sir, are a prime example of why one should never fight the hat adfiction. Always wearing an excellent hat, and always with that happy little smile.

I went with moehawk Original No. 4, the Beach Bunny today.

Well Bob, I'm glad you only asked about the old version of PA, and that you didn't Google the term... Let's us know you lead a clean life!

Smoothsailor you wear that Cordova with amazing aplomb, perfect panache!

Tommy, you always look well put-together, but Ash looks like that sweet brown felt was just waiting for her sweet little smile! MATCH!

Moe you crept in as I was typing! The Beach bunny's a bound-edged beauty, Bud!! Ma chapeau Francais has not been wet (yet), mais je pense si on the smell!
