Thanks for the info on the Milan Strat, J.Dave.

Everyone's looking well hatted this Sunday morning. Looks like another round of thunderstorms coming through this part of Central Ohio.

In the meantime, before the rain gets here, I thought I'd get my late '40s Imperial Stetson, in suede finish, out of the box and wear it around for a little bit today. It doesn't get much wear time, at all...

a little visual affect

Impressive collection today. T.Jones, I'm impressed that you have the discipline to allow that Imperial Stetson to rest undisturbed for as long as you do. It's a beauty, especially with the stitching in the ribbon.

Today, it's my Akubra Stockman after trying out a reworked crown and brim for more height and curl.

I've had this hat for close to 10 years now and it's one of my favorites. I got it from Miller, and at the time they called it their "Chicago" hat. I wish I'd bought two or three of them, because I really do like the hat.

Saw one of your projects at Bob's today David. Your looking like the finest Limey Texan I've ever seen ;)

Cool that you get previews of our little projects, Mike. I'd love to get a peek into Bob's shop - he really is coming out with some creative stuff.

I'm loving what he is doing with the new felt finishes and that halo brim is the best thing since the Cav Edge.

Great hats so far today, always a treat to see your posts, Che!

Finally a sunny day in Ft. Worth. I wore my freebie Bailey's of Hollywood to hike up to the stockyards earlier and my Newt at the Royal Montecristi this afternoon.

AnA - you wear those vintage lids with confidence - a fine looking boater.

Okay you guys have to cut out the Blacksheep talk right now... I have been lusting over a Shadow Hawk for awhile now and I don't think I have any room left in the whole house to put another hat .....LOL For what it is worth, I agree on the Halo brim....

Thanks buddy. I appreciate the comment. The liner and sweat on that hat are in near perfect condition. Very clean on the inside. I probably haven't worn that hat much more than a half dozen times since I've had it. I would guess that it got just as much, maybe less, head time by the original owner.

Your Stockman looks really good on you. The style definitely suits you well.
