+1 folks. The posts the past couple of weeks have been spectacular. Keep them coming.

Manfred; You are a very gracious fellow and gentlemanly in your positive posts. I read the forum and enjoy the interactions and comments most days. It is without a single post that you are positive and complimenting. I want to take this moment to thank you and say that I recognize your efforts. It is a pleasure to know you, even if it is via forum posts.

Sir, I tip my hat in your direction sir for your everyday graciousness.

Best to all, Eric -

Yup !
Chepstow is the Gentlesmens,,, Gentlemen !

Manfred: I share the conviction that you are the most gracious, kind, and generous member of the Lounge, and that is saying a lot, as this is without question the most civil and well-mannered forum on the web. As always, you are much too kind in your comments of my photos, but I thank you, with deep appreciation, my friend. :yo:

Definitely agree on this.

Eric, Che, Steve, Al, and Sam
I do not know what to say. I am deeply stirred by your kind words.
This Forum especially this thread, and you all are a great family for me.
It's a pleasure for me to see you all, everyday with your Hats and a honor to give you a good feedback for the day with my modest post.
I would like to thank you with all my heart, dear friends. I really appreciate it.
I would say much more If my English was a bit better, but sometimes I forgot some words but I will learn it. I am on a good way and thank you in best companionship.

Thanks BR Gordon!

Mayerswegener: I'm not sure. It's got a reasonably recent looking sweatband.
The text on the sweat says: "Huckel Quality Hat" on one side and "Genuine Velour" on the other.

Chepstow: Wir sprechen nicht deutsch, wir können nicht klagen über ihr Englisch (We who do not speak German cannot complain about your English). Your English is very good though. I've never had any difficulty understanding what you've written.

Al, Mike Perry and Sam, thank you very much, you all are too kind.
Sam, thanks for your answer in German, very well spoken.
And now it's time, to comment your Hats.

David, that is truly a sharp hat and the glasses you wear, looks very sharp on you, too.

Perry, the second Whippet in the round and also sharp as David's

Sam, what a beautiful Hat you have. That Hückel ist stunning, really and it's definitely your style, you should often wear a Homburger.

Eric, I enjoy your photos every day, Sir. Always a sharp hat on the Head, ( today a Strat ) and always very well presented.

Sam, Thanks for the additional info. It's a TONAK (Novy Jicin, Czech Republic). The Hückel situation was complicated by WWII and some what by WWI. The J. Hückel´s Söhne (JHS) main factory in Novy Jicin, Czechoslovakia (was Neutitschein, Austria before WWI) was nationalized as TONAK after WWII. Prior to WWII JHS was the largest hat factory in Europe (3 locations) and made the finest Velour hats in the World. JHS expelled employees started a new factory Hückel Weilheim Hutfabrik, West Germany in the early 1950s. Hückel Weilheim Hutfabrik had trademark rights in Germany but outside of Germany TONAK had the rights. Hückel Weilheim Hutfabrik closed operations in the early 1970s. Hückel hats bought today are produced by TONAK (Novy Jicin, Czech Republic) which is the oldest hat factory in the world (originally JHS est 1799).

Bravo on the Whippets! :eusa_clap and the marvelous thin ribbons today, too.
Eric, I always look forward to seeing your variety of camera shots, and not only because they include exquisite hats (which indeed they do!).
