Alan, don't put a baby on your head....that's just wrong. ;)

I'm wearing my Strat today too. I thought it fitting as I'm going to pick up a friends Fender Strat to do some work on.

Totally agree. There is some stuff you just shouldn't do.

I finished this hat for myself today. I made one like it for my brother a while back and liked it so much I decided I needed one , too. :eeek: Just what I need another hat!!

What an incredible collection of hats to pick up one weekend. We live in a desert literally and figuratively. I've checked vintage stores, thrift stores, antique stores, and have not come up with one "good" hat. Very occasionally I may find a western hat, but never in my size and usually nothing special.

I hope you enjoy the fertile grounds that you live in.

Much obliged for your kind comments!

I share your frustration in trying to find vintage hats, as more often than not the search for them is in vain. I believe that, regardless of geographic location, finding good quality vintage lids is an unpredictable proposition at best. As with many other things, patience, persistence, and a healthy dose of luck are your best bets.

Happy hunting, and may you find your "good hat" soon. It will be worth the effort!

Fine work Jwalls! When are you going into business as a hatmaker?

Are you associated with Shelby's fedoras out of Vegas? I think you posted a pic of you in a derby that has an uncanny resemblance to the guy wearing one of Shelby's derbies on their website. Some very nice looking lids there.

I wore my newly acquired vintage Stevens porkpie-ish hat today. I think I'm rather fond of it, even though it's a stingy.

Thank you for the compliments everyone!! I have always been under the impression that Jack Daniels is Whiskey because its made in Tennessee, and any whiskey made in Kentucky is called Bourbon. Obviously there is excellent Whiskey made all over the country and I have to honestly say that this DiVine Bourbon is some of the best Whiskey I have ever had.

Great photos Josh!!!
What is the hat?
Also... you remember that Jack is made in Tennessee dont you?

Cheeto told us that!!!!

Thanks, Rusty! The hat that I was wearing was the 1930's "Mystery" Stetson that I replaced the ribbon and removed the brim binding.
