Borsalino Qualita Extra Superiore Lobbia in Bismuto, c1955 today for church. The Church Lady approved. She said I reminded her of how her father always wore "fine hats". She is in her 80s, I am humbled.

I mean no offense, but between the two of you, she really rocks that Derby! You are a lucky man.

Dang...
That's one glorious hat!
The Church Lady knows good hats when she sees them. I concur![/QUOTE]

THAT is what a Homburg is supposed to be. Gorgeous hat.

That is a super nice hat Red. Throw the rest of them away. Ha ha. Great outfit to go with it too. No wonder you wowed the church lady.

My thanks to everyone! When I opened the box from Holland, I actually gasped when picking this one up. Had to stretch it, being a Borsalino. The old stitching on the un-reeded sweat crumbled in a couple of places. Rather than giving up that cool gray sweat band, I tried a little fabric glue from Loctite. It will be just fine now. Mike Miller suggested a brand called "Barge", I will order some of this and give a report.

If you can find it with the yellow label it is stronger. In California we can only get the blue label, which is still good.

Don’t I know it! Aimed way above my pay grade, so to say, with her!

Wow, nine hours of darkness in the WHAYWT thread! That must be a record. I guess everybody is trying to reconcile their busted brackets?

Anyway, top o' the Monday morning to all. Getting my week under way wearing the FrunoBerger (of Hollywood). @Redfokker, I still need to read up on the Berger material you sent me (TYVM). Just haven't had the time to sit down and go over it.
