Yes it is, Red. LL Bean goatskin A-2 from the days before they called it the Flying Tiger. Found it at the local Goodwill a couple of weeks ago, or less.

Got my 4x Stetson Austal the other day.

This is the 4x quality wool felt ("Buffalo'), and I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. Not by Stetson, who always makes a fine hat, but by the fact that it is wool felt. I tend to not like soft brimmed hats and prefer the stiff(er) brims, and this one seems durable to hold its shape just fine. Getting a wool felt was a leap of faith for me and, had it not been a Stetson, I probably would have passed. I'm glad I took the chance. More reports regarding its durability will come as events warrant. Oh, and shop around - I found the prices for this particular hat to vary as much as $75.00.
