That thing's badness is very, very good.Later today I'll be attending a book signing on a new OSU History written by Professor Emeritus Bill Robbins. I helped with the research on this book and was cited in the acknowledgements. The Navy Gannon will be just dressy enough to hob nob with the noted historians who will be there.

Thanks Red. I like this Champ a lot. It's a fun hat to wear.Great snap on that Champ! I love those Mr. Green Jeans coveralls.
Two great hats for you today Red. Looking good.View attachment 90503 I took advantage of a mild sunny day and wore the Portis "New Slant" to class this morning. I got a couple of compliments on it, one from a young student, and another from an older guy who said I looked like his dad.

Although I did spend two weeks in Japan during the 1980s, all I really learned how to say was..."I have a hangover" and "What's that?" I confess to Google translations.Google translator is your friend... kind of.
Very nice Beaver from the Beaver State. I drove through Coos Bay last summer. Wonder if the shop's building is still there. Where was it sold?
I really love the silver bellyness of the felt Mike used on this beauty. It seems to have whiter rather than cream tones.Nice Baku, Bro!
Boy, that's a sweetheart! Very classy.
It got nice up this way, too, about 71F. Nice Slant, Mike!
Love that Gannon, Red. My guess is you'll be the best hatted gent at the grand event!
I got out for a bit in my NW Hat Co Silverbelly with Old Copper ribbon and matching brim binding to the velvety beaver felt.

Nice Strat Senshu-san. Do you run into many fine men's hats in Japan? Or are you a head turner?
I thought @Frunobulax had all the Daltons in captivity. Nice to see this example.Dalton I’ve never worn before

Another summer-like day. Wearing this mystery Moore's California porker with a 2" brim.
Lit up:

Feels like toquilla straw but I'm not sure I've seen this construction method on a Panama before.
Have a great day!
