Today it's my favorite hat, my Knox 40 Westlite. Fabulously smooth felt that begs to be fondled so it's an approach/avoidance thing.

I can SEE how nice that felt is. Knox made some fine hats.

Definately recommend a 1 7/8"!! Open crown I bet it will be too for you Jaunty...!!

Actually, my next VS is a 2"....that seems to be the best balance for the tall crown, but venturing below 2" is daring, but not too adventurous...
