Thank you , Joao. I posted more pics on the western hat thread.Very old. I think Alan's Real Nutria doesn't have the liner and yours do!
Thank you Bob!Really nice looking.
The derby looks great with the peacoat Moe. You and Matt are making a convincing case for getting my old derby out to play more often.Hey everyone!
Happy Birthday, moon!
A perfect day for a perfect fitting G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro & C. bowler on it's first wearing here in (sometimes) sunny CA.
There is something to be said for not having to worry about your crease or if your pinch is wonky...
Have a great day!

Wow, that is a new one. Just your luck that your property is the place where he decided to give up the ghost.Sir, my wife, retired DVM, did a cursory eval. and says natural causes. My brother and I dressed the deer. The dressed deer meat went off to a local meat processor who promised to add it to sausage donations he makes for the Holidays. The remains went to be cremated. Truck washed and cleaned. Brother and I cleaned up and shared a cup of coffee. Several hours, but complete. Truth disclosed - I changed out to a stocking cap as the project was as expected messy.
Hoping for adventures of my choosing this afternoon.
Glad to see you nabbed this beauty. Really love this shade of gray. Your restoration makes it look pristine. I am in awe of your mojo.So many great hats over the Thanksgiving Holiday! Well done everyone!
MM, that vented Bantam is especially sweet!
Okay, so I finally landed an Open Road that was "NOT" Silverbelly but a nice light grey
It's a 3X that was in serious need of a reblocking and flanging which didn't even take an hour to do. It's now pristine and was like a new hat otherwise. The pricing on vintage 7 1/2's and 7 5/8's has gone to the stratosphere! Don't see many new vintage hats in my future unless they're in need of some work like this one. Just saw a Bates go for $590. More than I payed for either of my Whippets. In fact it's nearly what I payed for both!
Super look as always!Rain coming later, or so the rumor has it. Back to the Knox Grafton again.

I may be changing into my Filson hat and coat later to test it's water resistance during a bit of walking in the rain.

I see everybody is bringing out their Sunday best. Fine hats all around.

Looking good in that derby! I really love the Knox logo in the liner, really detailed and colorful. What era is this beauty from?I've had derbies on the brain, so I grabbed a second hat o' the day on my way out the door with Gabe to join Rebecca for lunch at her job.
Knox Excellent Quality.
