Lovin' that Ten, Matt! Love the liner tip, too. Mine has the standard '1817' liner. That's a great hat.
Thanks Jim. It is becoming one of my favorites. I really like wearing homburgs as a casual hat. And it really seems to fill the bill.

Sadly, it is going to need a new band. Dry rot has attacked the threading. I hate to replace it though. I have this thing for keeping, whenever possible, all of the original parts.

Everyone I have contacted to see about repairing it has told me that because it is an unreeded band, it is unlikely that it can be saved by being resewn in. (If anyone knows someone who might be able to accomplish that, a PM would be greatly appreciated).

Oh well...

Enjoy.

I hear ya. I like to keep as much "integrity" as I can. I think a few of the custom hatters here have the machine that sews unreeded sweats. I fear it's the original failing that makes it irreparable. I don't know if you can re-attach after the first time.

I'd try to see if Art or TonyB could do anything, or maybe Optimo.

Everyone looks great as usual. I sure envy the fine collection of lids on display.

For me, on this wet and overcast day in Central Ohio, it's a Resistol Stagecoach in Silverbelly

Here I am, hatless, with my wife of 42 years at our High School Senior Prom, 1973.
(obvious why I was in a hurry to get to the Honeymoon right after we were hitched) :)

Nothing embodies cool like The Wild One. Rock A Billy by The Phantom, 1958. "Love Me"

Cool is knowing how to handle a soda gun.

Thanks, Moon. It's kind of a yellowy mid brown, another one of those colors that's hard to capture in a photo. I love the thinness and lightness of these old Strats. The only thing thinner and lighter is the old Borsalino thin ribbons.

agreed... I wish every hat could feel like this ... that gray OR I have been wearing feels like that ... love it

I don't own any Borsalino hats ... I plan to change that at some point... not a huge fan of most of their modern stuff
