I think sometimes it's a trick of the light. The bash looks uneven because of the way the light catches the dimple on one side rather more than the other.
It used to bother me, but these days I figure that if it is uneven then it's just adding a bit of character.

Really enjoying this Resistol I found last Friday. The color seems to shift to match much of my wardrobe. Looks grey with blacks and reds, looks tan with browns.
