Rumblefish, I agree with Gene; the hat looks great just so. It looks "together". I dunno the exact adjective I'm looking for, as you tend to run through your thesaurus complimenting the hats on this thread, but it looks right in any event.
And to the rest of the posts for 2/21/2009: looking great! Makes me feel good to be part of the thread and get some marks. Thanks, everyone.

Yea, we put on jacket and tie for marrials, burials and Easter. Every since I saw that hangin', I've been a little spooked on wearin' a tie.;) :)

The great lids just keep on comin'. I must admit that, like everyone else, I am very impressed with Jimmy's Green Royal Stetson from the johnnyphi collection. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
However, I am no less thrilled with the 3X OR and the straw OR posted by Douglas along with a stellar shirt, tie , and jacket combo. Wonderful color coordination! (What shirt is this?)
:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
HPG and Daizawaguy receive kudos for swell lids in atmospheric settings.
Michaelshane, the outdoor shot of your new OR is swell.
Rumblefish, Your Schoble XX and Borsalino Allegro both look terrific! Did you borrow Douglas' shirt for that Allegro shot? (What shirt is this?)
Everyone else looks great as well. I'm just low on memory.

Not surprisingly, I love the color on that one, Carter. ;)

R-fish -- the Borsalino looks good on you.

Gene -- love the hat with that shirt!

Cheers,
JtL

I don't think I've ever posted a noggin shot of this one -- a Stetson 3X Open Road, probably from the early 60-ish timeframe. I wear this one brim down all around. I really like the fact that the edge binding is a light silver belly, while the thin ribbon itself is a light green:

Thanks carter. That shirt is an Adventure shirt from Magnoli in ecru.

Bolty, you and your hat are very stylishly stubbled. :D

Cool Marathon, Carter.

Rumble, Vic, Jimmy.... there's not been a bad hat here in a long time. Not even close. Well, my Temple is close to being bad  but other than that, you dudes really know how to wear 'em.

Hey Rusty, I just noticed your avatar. Longing for summer are you?...

Sunday's hat

Can't tell you too much about this hat other than it's a dark grey Stetson with a brown sweat marked only "Denver Weather Head /Hatters since 1876". Slightly over-sized, but a piece of felt did the trick. Anywho, wore it to church and then out to lunch with the parents - my treat even. :) Of course it wasn't bad since they wanted to go to Taco Bell :D
Here's an older pic of the Stetson.
