Stunner Alan. I echo his thoughts concerning all the fine posts today and earlier in the week as well. Had to run some errands today so grabbed my Simmonds wool cap

Nice cap (and Shurons) jhe888
Sweet Dobbs homburg, A'n'A. It's been my experience that hats can draw out awkward behavior from drunk chicks.

Hmm... trying to judge whether this can be good or bad... Hmm...

A great stingy you had on, by the way!!

I'm wearing my Buckaroo Hatters bunny fur Sahara today.

That is a SLAMMIN' hat, Jeff!! :thumb: Very nice hip-pity hop-pity rabbit. Is that a two tone crown and brim or is it just the light casting the contrast?

"No, I hate it! Wearing it on my head is the only way to keep the darn thing out of sight." lol

It's a true beauty, AnA! ;)

Thanks! I'm not sure whether she was just trying to get me to give her attention, because she asked me that 3 times! Yeah, I'm quite sure the only attention you're going to get is the puzzled look on my face if you have to keep asking me an absurd question like that. Sheesh!

A few days ago I would have called this a homburg, but today... perhaps a homburgly upbrim.
An upturnedburg, perhaps? I love it, Alan. My blue Dobbs and grey Collins & Fairbanks both have shallow curls in the front, giving them a more contemporary homburg look, if there is such a thing. As you know, my first homburg was defiled when I tried to snap the brim down like a fedora. I have since learned to keep the curl, but maintain a gentle downward swoop without distorting the rest of the brim, much like the way you're wearing your brown beauty. Really nice hat!
Delectable Dobbs, A&A.... and bad perfume is usually an indicator of OTHER problems. Glad you got out of there!
I think she finally got the hint when I kept my answers short. It would have been one thing if she were attractive; you'd kinda have to talk to her. But she wasn't, which made it seem like she was trying that much harder. Good for her, though, for her social confidence. I hope she finds another hatted dude, while sober, that will give her the time of day.
Dang! That's a sweet lid. LOVE the plum ribbon!
Thank you for your comment!! Both colors are very deep. The blue felt is nearly black; one of my co-workers thought it was black while admiring it from the desk next to mine. It's one of my holy-grails.
Been a while since I’ve had time to log in, quite busy, but thanks for the comments from long ago! Wearing my brown Tumwater today.
Nice, BJ. I've been on and off, as well. My new job keeps me busy. Glad to see you around the thread. Cheers!
Thanks everyone for the compliments on the blue Dobbs, neglected to mention that it's a Dobbs Twenty. I actually just dropped it off at Paul's Hat Works for a reflange, the brim doesn't snap down easily. Other than that, the hat looks very new. More pictures forthcoming in the Dobbs diner.
A super duper hat, indeed, Jared!! :thumb: I love the pics in the 'Diner, especially stacked with your Dillinger!!
AnA - Love how you can pull of the Homburg look.
Cheers, David! I was very stand-offish from homburgs for quite a while; you couldn't have paid me to wear one. I never thought I would appreciate them like I do now. I'm going to keep my eye out for a black one with a stingy brim, like the ones Sir Anthony Eden wore.

Your Stetson Western is a real treat! It's just waiting for the Trail! :)
My VS Hitchhiker today![IMG]http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc493/tomb1013/SN852724_zps7c322bd1.jpg

YES!!! I LOVE that hat, Tom!! It is one of my absolute favorites, along with your brown Mallory TEN. Simple. I really like the colors on you, and the brim is just right; turned up sides with a very subtle dip in the front. Even the pinch is perfect. Bravo!! :eusa_clap

For Fawcett Friday my VS Blue Smoke. And that color name also describes how I convinced Mrs. Hats I needed this hat; blew smoke...

Wearing my Royal Deluxe midnight blue Stetson.

Midnight blue is tough to beat, and Stetson did it well. Really nice hat, OG!!!

For today: VS Max

Stellar!! What a ribbon!!

"Dames!" Seriously though, that's funny. A little boy at my son's school asked yesterday if I was a detective when I dropped him off wearing a suit, tie & Vagabond King.

My father-in-law told me the same thing, in jest of course. Though, my Borso Savoy does have a 1949 detective look to it.

Had to run some errands today so grabbed my Simmonds wool cap.

You are ready for the skies, Mike!! Cool aviators, and cooler cap!! :eusa_clap

Fantastic vintage western DJH. I'd like to see that in action sometime.
Hats-r-Me the blue smoke is definately a superior product. That color is amazing.

Thanks.

My Panama is probably my most abused hat. It was a cheap, flea-market purchase. One day, I do hope to buy a better one (and one that fits better. This one is a bit small). I've used it as a fan more than I should, so when I went on this trip, I brought the folding fan specifically, so that I wouldn't be waving my Panama around.

Keeping it clean is a real hassle. To a certain extent, I've just about given up trying to wash the perspiration stains from the front of the brim.

That hat's been rained on, scrubbed, washed, bent, flattened, reshaped, blown into a busy intersection...I'm amazed it's even still in one piece!!

Fantastic Mallory Alan. Truly a classy looking hat.
Shangas, a lot of people pay good money for NEW hats that look like that. You had to work for what you got, and that's definately something to be proud of.

Vintage Dobbs for me today. Yesterday was cold enough to merit the leather jacket, today I'm back out in a t-shirt. Crazy Alabama weather.

I've been pretty busy lately so haven't been around here much, but it looks like everyone is keeping things up quite nicely. Great hats over the last week, and today is no exception.

Che--awesome tune, it looks like Moco is learning his chops with harmonicas and hats. You're not looking to shabby, yourself. Looks like the prickly pears are about ready to eat!

Andy--the City Sport is a perfect match for your fall color display. Some college football is a great way to spend a Saturday. My wife is from the Syracuse area, we lived there for a couple of years (a long time ago!), and I had a good (but now departed) friend who was an Orange grad.

Shangas--way to break in a Panama and make it yours.

dh--I just love the overall look, man, and nicely topped with the brim-up Dobbs.

Alan--words are not enough for that Mallory. Thanks for showing it again.

David--I never tire of seeing that beautiful Whippet.

A bit chilly this morning, but we should be in the mid-70s by afternoon. Typical fall weather in coastal CA.
VS Granite and a leather jacket for the a.m. May go to a light weight this afternoon.
