Javier, let me add myself to those who like you with the wider brim.

Eric, That Dobbs is way too nice to wear cutting grass in the rain, and you are another who can pull off the look of short, long or curled brims...very nice.

David, well how can anyone say anything but great hat , no matter which one you pull out for the day:D

Yesterday my wife came into the office ( with many hats on display ) and opened the closet door,,, filled with shelving and many more hats....LOL

She said "MAN you sure have a lot of hats" of course that was right after I showed a picture of the latest buy that is currently in the mail........;)

But nice knowing all the people here, because there are many who make my collection look like a drop in the bucket...

That is my story and I am sticking to it ;)

Thanks to all for the compliments and I will try to not look intimidating in the future... I just want to make sure the camera doesn't steal my soul... ROFL

Great looking hat, Javier. I happy that it turned out to be fur felt. I've never had a wool felt hat, but I assume it wouldn't look as good as your new hat looks.

That's not entirely true, my first sombrero de huaso was wool felt. Very thick stiff hat but would not be mistaken for a good fur felt hat.

Where's my Hat... ? in Upstate NY!
Thanks guys,

BR Gordon - I am really glad it worked out, I was scared that I wasted my money on wool, but had a feeling that with the age of the hat and the fact that it was custom made, had great leather sweatband, it had to be fur felt, and my risk was rewarded. it's really nice quality.

Jauntyone - Rock the stingy well!

David - What a stunning Bluegrass Whippet, you have so many great hats that its hard to say one is better than the other, but this one is really, really, splendid!

Robert - nice taupe fawn Campdraft.

Manfred - looking sharp in that Borsalino, works really good with the casual look. (Cool family pic +1)

masiaka - Nice duo today.

David, That Whippet looks right at home. One of the hats on my wish list.
David, very nice the Whippet, this color suits you very well.

Thanks, BR and Manfred. Even though I dispute that Whippets are worth what people pay for them these days, they are a very nice style hat.

I love the photo with your wife, Manfred - very nice!
A beautiful hat - maybe one day . . .

They are out there, Robert. If you are patient enough, you'll find one you like at a good price.

David - What a stunning Bluegrass Whippet, you have so many great hats that its hard to say one is better than the other, but this one is really, really, splendid!

Thanks, Javier! I like the Lamson Hubbard you have today.

Masiaka - 2 nice hats for you today - very cool!

Man, Perry-- you really sell that Powell! so many hats, so little time.
David-- Always a pleasure to see that bluegrass Whippet.
Manfred-- totally rocking that Borsalino-- it exudes class.
Javier-- couple of really nice ones lately. I'm really digging that grey one with the felted edge.

I know this isn't the "what hat are you wearing this week" thread, but I've been going through some of my favorites, and they've been hits at the summer camp where I'm working this week:
Monday, royal deluxe OR

Here's a pic of my friend John at the brass rooster hat shop working on a Borsalino that he was reblocking for me. I settled on the wide ribbon as it carried the ht of the crown better than the narrow ribbon.
The open crown pic is the before pic of course. I seem to not be able to bash these tall crowns very easily without using a block and which John has a plethora of nice vintage ones.
