Today it was my Dobbs gulld-edge, one of my stingier hats. 2" is as narrow a brim as I can wear and not look goofier than usual...

I think the stingy brimmed hats look better with a little backward tilt, at least on me.

:eusa_clap Looks good as always. If only I could have so many fantastic hats.

Thanks, B.J. - didn't take me long to get a collection going once the hat bug bit me. I have one new hat on the way, and I'm on the lookout for the perfect green hat, and then I think I'll be done.

But I'm just a piker compared to some of the other loungers...

Go check out the bluegrass green Camp Draft in the CD thread. Mine came today and I love it.

I got mine about a month ago :D It's a great hat, but I'd like a dressier, wide-ribbon fedora with a nicer finish to the felt. I'm seriously considering a Christys Adventurer in Elm with the brim trimmed down a tad.

Wow Salty! It's strange to see you wear a stingier brimmed hat. It looks great. I wear mostly stingys and agree that they look better tilted back slightly. I feel it makes me look more approachable. Stingys are great. I wear them because I hate anything that limits my vision but IMO they don't demand the respect and seniority of a fuller brimmed hat.
I'm starting to appreciate fuller brimmed hats as I get older and re-consider my sun exposure.

hatophile, who made that hat? It wasn't Gus Miller was it? Never heard of the New England Hat Company in Cincy.

Hatophile, you are wearing a nice combo there. I like the tweed jacket with leather tab -and the hat suits perfectly. Now, you must borrow a camera for us to better appreciate it... ;)

Salty, I see we are in the same wave - I feel 2'' brim is my lower margin, too. BTW, I would not say you are a piker... I am not finding you short of good hats!

DRB,

I think the hat is pretty old, the inside shows a Milliner's Union tag. I'm certainly not an expert at dating hats, but I'm guessing it's 40's or 50's vintage. I have lived in Ohio about 18 years now, and never had heard of that company. I also think it's odd to be named the New England hat company and based in Ohio. I got the hat off Ebay about a year ago.

Torp,

Thanks for the compliments. Actually, if I hold the iphone just right, I get a nice picture, but I was trying to leave for work, so it was a quick, blurry one.
